There is a lot to love about the game, and we’ve only covered its surface level on this podcast. The rest had been thrown out of the window, since we wished to leave some of its mysteries hidden for those who still wish to play and experience the game for themselves. However, if you’re interested to read more about our takes on the game and its gameplay aspects and story feel free to check this article: “Slay, Leave, Save, Repeat?”.
As for this episode itself, this one had been a doozy to record. Not only because we’re still experimenting with the format itself, but also because this had been the point where we realised that there is no turning back. Quite fitting considering the determination present in the game itself. (It's obvious that this is written by me, Mischief, since I keep using the term 'game' here. Please don't tell Sherigan...)
The promised visual aids regarding our respective tier lists:
The topics that we’ve covered in the actual discussion: our favourite princesses, the potential meaning behind the mirror, as well as the nature of the narrator are all only bits of something even bigger; And there will be more considering Black Tabby Games also announced "The Pristine Cut", shortly after our initial recording session. This addition promises “several new chapters”, “significant expansions to several chapters in the game” and the ominous “more revealed at a later date” (Announcement). Moreover, there already had been an update made to the game late March: “The End of Everything”, which made some changes to the end game and added live orchestral performances. Lastly, if you wish to experience the game pre-updates, then you still can. There are means to play a legacy build, which is always lovely for archive purposes (Patch Notes).
